a week down

Starting in a new place always has the part of getting settled in and it's been the same for the past week. 5 days over and I'm getting the impression I'm going to enjoy my job. Quite a different experience from previous work experience I've been through.

Attachment gave me the experience of working in a construction related industry in Electrical installation and my first job was a wider scope of the same industry. Not much difference there. Just went from a family business to a SME. Both had screwed up HR practises, both give a lot of experience. Starting work for my first job didn't feel foreign to me. This job though is a new ground.

Marketing, meeting clients, the link between Technical and Commercial. What I've been looking for since i left my previous job. Actually its an area I've been trying to find since i graduated. Now I've got it and in a company that actually knows what its doing. It feels great about that. I know the thing about learning in an SME and then going on to an MNC, well all i can say is that i can't imagine anyone wanting to go to an SME from being in an MNC. Unless of course they are going to own it.

Speaking of SME HR practices, my idiotic previous company hasn't paid me for my last paycheck. Darn it if i have to go the extra mile just to get it back.
